Shari Lynn Huggett began studying tap, jazz, and ballet at the age
of five. Her teaching and competing in Dancesport started in 1992.
Some of Shari's other accomplishments in the Manhattan area include appearances on the popular soap opera "All My Children" and appearances with Julio Iglesias on the "Today Show" and CNN to promote his "Tango" album In 1998, Shari returned home to pursue a dream … opening her own studio: Carolina Dancesport! Since that time, she has helped hundreds of students to learn America's new past-time: Dancing! While offering the best dance instruction possible in the Triangle area at the most affordable prices, Shari has continued to excel in worldwide dance competition. Having competed exclusively in American 9 Dance (Rhythm and Smooth) and International Standard, she expanded her knowledge and competitive career in 2000 to include Country Western Couples. After winning the 2003 UCWDC World Championship Title in Couples Division 1, she is currently a certified UCWDC Judge and competes at the Masters Level (the highest level possible). After seven years of owning and operating a successful dance studio, Shari has simplified her life. Since 2002, she has embraced a new career as a Mary Kay Independant Beauty Consultant Working her Mary Kas business along side of her first passion ... dancing, teaching & coachin across the country. Now residing in Hilsborough, NC, Shari Teaches and coaches dance and conducts Mary Kay Skin Care Classes in various cities across North Carolina. She is currently preparing to compete professionally in the near future with her dance partner Heath Nail.
